Our volunteers make an enormous difference in the lives of ordinary South Africans across the country through their generous contributions of time, skill, physical resource and commitment to our cause. At the Foundation, we view volunteers as a vital component in our vision of reducing CVD related death in South Africa. The HSFSA is a non-profit organisation with limited resources and actively seeks to recruit volunteers to support the foundation on many of our awareness initiatives.
Many see it as an opportunity to give something back to society in a meaningful way and for others, it is a way to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. At some educational institutions, it is an application requirement for a prospective student to volunteer at an NPO. The Volunteer Programme also gives an opportunity to volunteers from abroad, to experience SA’s diverse culture while making a positive difference.
We encourage individuals, families, companies and students to volunteer. We also seek volunteers that can play a role in helping us to create awareness CVD and prevention on the various social media platforms.
A chance to meet new and inspiring people, develop fresh ideas and sharpen your skills. Most of all, you will join a dynamic team of volunteers and staff of the foundation doing important health awareness work.
Our research, health promotion, advocacy and fundraising activates run all year round. We are can offer you both short and more long-term opportunities. Important to note that we roll out our biggest awareness campaign in the month of September every year and this requires the great involvement of volunteers during this period.
