Mended Hearts and Stroke Group

Mended Hearts and Stroke Group (MHSG) is a free monthly meeting for all those who have suffered a heart attack or stroke, and their families and friends. Meetings are regional in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. Mended Hearts provides:

• Educational support regarding all areas of primary and secondary cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease prevention
• Emotional support in the form of a trusted, caring community to those already affected by a cardiovascular (CVD) event.

Mended Hearts and Stroke Group is proudly hosted at the following facilities:

• Western Cape – Life Vincent Pallotti. (We also have a new initiated Mended Hearts in Belhar in the Western Cape)
• Kwazulu Natal – Life Entabeni & Life Westville Hospitals
• Gauteng – Alex Hospice and Rehabilitation Centre

We thank Life Health Hospitals for sponsoring the venue, equipment and the catering for our Mended Hearts meetings.  Our special thanks and gratitude also goes to our diverse group of speakers, who volunteer their valuable time to present to our members. Internally, our nutrition team contributed greatly to arranging the speakers and presentations delivered at the Mended Hearts meetings.
